Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 14 July 2026
About these terms
These terms govern the supply of aircraft appearance services by Blue Horizon Aviation (“we”, “us”) to customers (“you”). By accepting a quotation or booking a service, you agree to them. Terms specific to how services are performed are set out in our Service Terms; cancellation arrangements are in our Cancellation Policy — both form part of these terms.
Our services — scope
We provide aircraft appearance services only: cleaning, detailing, paint enhancement and correction, protective treatments, brightwork polishing and related presentation services.
We do not provide aircraft maintenance, engineering, mechanical repair, avionics work, airworthiness inspection or maintenance certification, and nothing we do or say should be taken as any of those. Observations we pass on about aircraft condition are made in good faith as appearance specialists and are not engineering advice.
Quotations
Quotations are prepared from the information you provide and remain valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. They are subject to the aircraft's actual condition, access and site arrangements, weather, operational restrictions, and any additional contamination or work identified on inspection. Where the work needed differs materially from what was described, we will tell you and agree any revised price before proceeding.
Bookings and access
Bookings are confirmed in writing (email or message). You are responsible for ensuring we can access the aircraft at the agreed time and location, including any airfield or hangar permissions required for our attendance, and for informing us of site-specific rules in advance.
Payment
Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. For first engagements or larger projects we may ask for a deposit, which will be stated in the quotation. Late payment may attract interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate information about the aircraft and its condition; secure or disclose any loose or valuable items in the cabin; tell us about known defects, previous repairs or fragile areas (for example, thin paint or damaged transparencies); and ensure the aircraft is made available in a safe, workable state.
Our responsibilities
We will perform services with reasonable skill and care, using products and methods appropriate to the aircraft, and we hold insurance appropriate to working on aircraft in our care, custody and control (details available on request).
We will report any pre-existing damage we notice, and anything arising during the work, promptly and honestly.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that: we are not liable for pre-existing damage or defects (including paint or transparency conditions that make surfaces unusually vulnerable and were not disclosed); for loss arising from inaccurate information provided to us; or for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of revenue or diminution in value. Our total liability in respect of any engagement is limited to the greater of the price paid for that engagement and the amount recoverable under our insurance.
Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control — including weather unsuitable for the work, airfield closures or restrictions, and access changes imposed by third parties. Where such an event affects a booking, we will reschedule promptly and without penalty.
Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, branding, graphics, photography and design — belongs to Blue Horizon Aviation or its licensors and may not be reused without permission. Photographs we take of our work remain ours. We may publish them on this website and our social media; any customer can ask us not to photograph their aircraft, or to take an existing image down, at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you enjoy where you are a consumer.
